Even though Black Widow is a trained assassin who regularly fights alongside Marvel Comics’ greatest heroes in battles, Harley Quinn proves she is a better hero after she succeeds where Black Widow so miserably failed.
Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow was a part of the U.S.S.R.'s “Black Widow Ops” Program which was designed to turn young girls into unstoppable killing machines by way of intense years-long training. For years, Black Widow did the bidding of her Soviet masters until she was assigned the task of traveling to America and to decimate the Avengers. After her failure, Nat joined the Avengers as there was no love lost between her and those who trained her to be a killer. Harley Quinn was not trained as an assassin from birth, but instead was a psychiatrist within Arkham Asylum who was entranced by the Joker and joined him in his life of crime. After years of being the Joker’s punching bag, figuratively and literally, Harley Quinn ventured out on her own and has since been absolutely thriving both as a fan-favorite character as well as an effective in-universe antihero, using her acrobatic skills and peak physical agility and strength to achieve victory in nearly every mission she takes on. She even manages to overshadow Black Widow during one mission in particular.
