Harley Quinn Joining Joker 2: Lady Gaga Reportedly In Talks For Role

Lady Gaga is in talks to play Harley Quinn in DC's Joker 2 movie starring Joaquin Phoenix. Warner Bros. and DC Films went in a surprising direction a few years ago by announcing plans for a Joker solo movie that did not involve Jared Leto's version of the character from Suicide Squad. The Joker movie instead brought Phoenix into the leading role and is not part of the DC Extended Universe. Directed by Todd Phillips, Joker made over $1 billion worldwide and earned Phoenix an Oscar win for his incredible performance.

Due to the overwhelming success of the movie, there have been talks about a Joker sequel happening since 2019.
