Earlier this year, World of Warcraft announced Dragonflight–the ninth expansion pack for the long-running MMORPG. Now, World of Warcraft is showing off some customization options available for the new Dracthyr race in Dragonflight.
The Dracthyr are a new race of shapeshifting dragon people coming in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. Characters of this new World of Warcraft race all must play as the new dragon-themed Evoker class, and they will have two different forms to customize: their Dracthyr form and their Visage form.
World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Comes Out This Year
This recent post by World of Warcraft showed off more details about their draconic Dracthyr form. Like the werewolf-like Worgen, Dracthyr take their draconic forms during combat, so players will be taking this form most often. The new Dracthyr images showed off over a dozen different horn shapes, scale and marking patterns, spines, and colors for players to choose from. Players will be able to design their Dracthyr to look like any of the five major dragonflights in World of Warcraft or any of the other dragons, including the Chromatic, Twilight, and Infinite dragons.
Perhaps most importantly, World of Warcraft also showed off four different body types the Dracthyr could take for their main form. Each of the body types maintains the androgynous features of their draconic form while allowing them to customize the amount of bulk and muscle they have. It also showcased a number of armor sets and outfits Dracthyr would be able to wear.
World of Warcraft players were excited to see the range of customizations available to the new Dracthyr race. One of the biggest concerns about the Dracthyr was how thin they were, and the breadth of their wearable equipment
