Every World of Warcraft race has their iconic mount, and the new Dracthyr are certainly no exception, as their mounts have just been datamined in the latest Dragonflight build. A tradition that began in the early days of World of Warcraft, even races who have not had mounts initially, such as the Alliance's Worgen, have received them retroactively at some point over the course of the game's lifetime.
Despite other MMOs having their own unique takes on mount and riding systems, none can compare to the sheer diversity that is the World of Warcraft stable. Purely from a collector's viewpoint, World of Warcraft is second to none, providing mountains of mounts for players to obtain through all sorts of game modes, achievements, and even vendor purchases. At the very bottom of that totem pole lie the race-specific mounts, but they are far from its least important piece – merely its most accessible one.

The Dracthyr mounts – known as Vorquins – are unsurprisingly draconic in visage, as they belong to a race of draconic beings that wield the powers of the Five Dragonflights. The base skeleton of the Vorquins is that of a horse, but the similarities end there. Adorned in scales and horns, and having claws instead of hooves on their hind legs, it is very much a design that feels at home with the rest of the Dragon Isles' aesthetic.
Discovered by Wowhead, the mounts for the Dracthyr come in four colors and two types: a basic one, and an armored one.
