The two best hunters at Marvel Comics, the Spider-Man villain Kraven the Hunter and the X-Men hero Wolverine, will be facing off for the very first time in the pages of X-Force #30 as part of the upcoming Judgment Day event. Somehow these two iconic hunters have never fought before, and this battle may determine who is truly Marvel's best hunter.
Kraven the Hunter is one of Spider-Man's oldest enemies, a staple in his large rogues gallery, and was first introduced in The Amazing Spider-Man #15 (1964) by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko as a big game hunter who hopes to defeat Spider-Man to prove he is the best hunter in the world. Kraven became one of Peter Parker's most well known enemies after the success of 1987's Kraven's Last Hunt storyline, which has a popular spiritual successor in 2019's Hunted. Although Kraven claims that defeating Spider-Man would earn him his claim as the world's best hunter, it seems more likely that him being able to defeat Wolverine, a world class tracker and animalistic fighter, would truly bestow this title upon him.
