As one of the Marvel Universe's most effective killers, Wolverine is upping his game by putting his powers to work in a way that would make James Bond absolutely cringe. 007 may be world-renowned for his gadgets that allow him to save the world in high-stakes thrilling adventures. But Q's best inventions have nothing on Wolverine's natural abilities that allow him to pull off moves that the spy could only dream of.
Wolverine was created by Roy Thomas, Len Wein, and John Romita, Sr., and made his first full appearance in The Incredible Hulk #181 by Wein, Herb Trimpe, Jack Abel, Glynis Wein, and Artie Simek. James Howlett may also be known as Logan, but for a brief period of time, he went under another identity after the «Fall of the Mutants» storyline. In the country of Madripoor, Wolverine adds an eyepatch to his wardrobe and gives himself the appropriate alias of Patch, while becoming the confidante of Tyger Tyger.

Fans will have the opportunity to see an unexplored adventure in that particular chapter in the mutant's life in Wolverine: Patch #1 by Larry Hama and Andrea Di Vito. Under his new identity, Wolverine finds himself at odds with the director of SHIELD, Nick Fury, who demands he vacate the area. As Logan takes to the skies, his associate informs him there's not a way for them to get close to SHIELD's airspace without detection. Fortunately, the hero already has a plan in mind, and like any brave superspy, jumps out of a plane headfirst. But unlike Bond, Wolverine relies on his healing factor and adamantium skeleton to survive the fall.
