Naturally, many players take several hours to vanquish these formidable foes, including popular Twitch streamer Atrioc, who reportedly spent seven hours trying to defeat a Tree Sentinel in Elden Ring, one of the optional bosses in the game.

One viral clip shows such an instance where an Elden Ring player jumps to their death during a boss fight. There are also times when players execute their fight strategies brilliantly to defeat a boss, like one Reddit user who planned their boss fight to near perfection. The user uploaded a clip where they go one on one with a Tree Sentinel and, astoundingly, the Redditor kills the Tree Sentinel with a single strike and without leveling up their weapon or character.
The Redditor used several damage buffs before taking on the Elden Ring boss, and applying them all took nearly 45 seconds. These included consumables like Flask of Wonderous Physick, Bloodboil Aromatic, and Frenzyflame Stone, which significantly enhanced the player's damage-yielding abilities, thus enabling them to kill the Tree Sentinel in one hit.
