Wizards of the Coast is teaming up with Comic Relief to offer Dungeons & Dragons players the chance to live out their roleplaying fantasies on a remote island.
The fundraiser, D&D: Island of Oxventure, gives one winner and a plus-one a two-night stay at Osea Island in Essex in the UK. There, they'll be able to play D&D at the 'Captain's House' with a professional Dungeon Master, and will even be able to try out some real-life challenges.

The prize is being put together with input from Oxventure, a D&D liveplay series hosted by Outside Xbox. Members of the group will be on Osea to play a session with the winners, and it will even be DM'd by Oxventure's own Johnny Chiodini.
It's not all just playing D&D, though. Outside of the sessions, the winner will take part in a treasure hunt across the island, where they can win prizes and take part in axe throwing and archery. The stay will be fully catered with "delicious delicacies from a tailored menu of food", including a session on how to cook over an open campfire just like a party of adventurers.
This giveaway is to raise funds for Comic Relief, a charity that aims to support "poor and disadvantaged people in the UK and the world's poorest communities". It has a lot of different projects such as mental health initiatives and helping unhoused people, those living in poverty, and victims of domestic violence. Comic Relief is probably best-known for its annual (previously bi-annual) Red Nose Day telethons which see celebrities perform comedy sketches to raise money.
This isn't the first time D&D has partnered with Comic Relief. A number of American celebrities, including David Harbour, took part in D&D Live 2020 to raise funds
