Many are curious about the following the first season’s success, but is it coming out? Strong Girl Nam-Soon is a South Korean drama series that tells the story of Gang Nam-soon, who disappeared in Mongolia when she was a child. Years later, she returns to South Korea to find her family and gets dragged into a drug case. Fortunately for Nam-soon, she is incredibly strong and decides to use her strength to resolve her problem. Season 1 premiered on JTBC on October 7, 2023, and it’s airing on Netflix internationally.
Here’s all we know about Strong Girl Nam-Soon Season 2 and whether or not it’s coming out.
Strong Girl Nam-Soon is a spin-off to Strong Girl Bong-Soon (alternatively, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon), which originally aired on JTBC between February 24, 2017, and April 15, 2017. In the Strong Girl universe, Nam-soon and Bong-soon are second cousins. In November 2023, Soompi reported that a third Strong Girl project was in the planning stage at JTBC. A representative for the network told the web outlet, “We have plans for another installment, but we are currently concentrating on writing another project.”
The intermediate period between the first two installments was over six years. So, it’s safe to presume it might be a while before the third Strong Girl series.
The official synopsis for Strong Girl Nam-Soon reads:
“Gifted with superhuman strength, a young woman returns to Korea to find her birth family, only to be entangled in a criminal case that could test her power.”
