Crystal Kung Minkoff struggled with her The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costars in season 11, and now the ladies seem determined to put Crystal in her place. While Crystal has a passion for staying organized (and keeping her kid's schedules in check), she's not an uptight soccer mom. She revealed in season 11 that she was once the phone operator for an escort agency. This fact led Erika Jayne to raise an intrigued brow at Crystal. When she let that slip, it should have given her castmates a hint that Crystal can handle herself in any scenario. She is not to be messed with.
However, despite showing up to the group with good intentions, authenticity, and a strong point of view, she quickly started butting heads with her costars. Her season 1 tagline was, «Hollywood is full of pretenders, and I slay them all.» Crystal refuses to be fake. After getting into a heated discussion about race with Sutton Stracke, Crystal asked her if she was «really that girl that doesn't see race?» After Sutton walked in on Crystal changing and didn't immediately leave the room, things got worse. As Sutton neurotically used her roller on her face while confronting Crystal, it became clear to audiences that fitting in with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills wouldn't be easy for Crystal.

While the tension with Sutton was frustrating on its own, all of the RHOBH argued that it was inappropriate for Crystal to use the word «violated» when it came to the «peeping Tomasina» moment, as Kathy Hilton put it on the show.
