The March 2022 PlayStation State of Play presentation came with the announcement of a new demo for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. Including the new one, there are three demos for FF Origin to date, which seems like an abnormal amount for a single game to get. It promises to be a brand-new Final Fantasy experience, and players can now decide whether it delivers or not by playing the new demo.
Stranger of Paradise is a Final Fantasy game that features an all-new protagonist, Jack, a traveller from another world with the goal of destroying Chaos. The game presents itself as a darker and grittier reimagining of the original Final Fantasy, with many parallels. Players who wish to see Cloud Strife or Sephiroth will unfortunately be disappointed due to the new cast. It's one of March's several 2022 video game releases, coming out on March 18. It received a demo in May 2021, then again in October of the same year, and now it has a third.

There are a couple of possible reasons as to why Stranger of Paradise: FF Origin has received three separate demos when many games don't even get one. The true motive may only ever be known to the developers and Square Enix themselves; however, there may be a few reasons behind this decision. The game is a foray into new territory for the series, in both features and themes. Those who played the previous two demos may notice improvements as well as the return of popular features in the third one.
