During one of your main quests in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origins, you will come across everybody's favorite smelly, wriggly creature— the Malboro, now in the best of resolutions and with such thorough tentacle animation that you can almost smell its bad breath through the screen.

Team Ninja's latest entry prides itself on being tough as nails, however, so you might find this guy to be a bit more difficult to beat than in previous Final Fantasy games. As the Great Malboro grabs you, throws you in the air, and then proceeds to spit poison right into your eyes, you might start wishing you had never picked up the game controller in the first place. Just take a deep breath (hopefully not a smelly one) and buckle up, because here are some tips for you.
The Great Malboro is located in the final room of Wicked Arbor during the main mission: Memories of Poison. You can also find smaller Malboros in Hallowed Massif and Cavern of Earth.
Just before the fight against the Great Malboro, there is a bunch of cubes just like with every other boss. Recover all your HP and MP and put on your best gear— preferably weapons imbued with fire to inflict the greatest damage to this guy.
