Former star of Counting On Josh Duggar has been sent to a safer prison even after having been convicted of possessing child pornography. Viewers were not thrilled by the news and thought he would be put into a military-like prison. After a judge sentenced him to 12 years, it looks like Josh's stay behind bars may not be too difficult.
Counting On fans learned in May that Josh was sentenced to 12 years after being found guilty of possessing child sexual abuse material back on December 9, 2021. Josh has been the biggest thorn in Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's side, but his parents are still praying hard for him, and they stood by him when the verdict was read. Josh has always had issues and his parents have expressed their understanding of how serious the conviction was. Even though he is looking at over a decade behind bars, some of his family still supports him, leaving many feeling angry.

Followers of the Duggars were outraged as KNWA-TV reported that on June 24, 2022, Josh was transferred out of the Washington County Detention Center to FCI Seagoville, where he will be carrying out his sentence. Even though he is moving in for a while, after his release, Josh will then have 20 years of supervised release, which includes no unsupervised visits with minors like his children. The Texas prison, which Josh Duggar's lawyers requested, is a low-security federal prison for male inmates. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, it has also earned the reputation for being safe.
The prison was opened in 1938 and is home to 1,900 inmates. Prisoners are housed in two, three, five, and 12-person rooms, and there is one of seven housing units. According
