GTA Online Player Protected by NPC
In 2013, Grand Theft Auto Online launched on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 before being made available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2014 and PC in 2015. WhenGrand Theft Auto Online first launched it was very similar to the online modes featured in Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto 4. As time went on, the developer continued to add new modes, new DLC, and in-game purchases. Grand Theft Auto Online heists went live in 2015, and Rockstar had added new settings for players to rob and cause general mayhem. For some gamers, however, it's the little interactions with NPCs that make the game worth it.

Since Grand Theft Auto Online launched, players have seen NPCs act in unexpected ways. The core open-world gameplay is virtually the same as the offline mode, where gamers can easily kill or rob NPCs, but they sometimes fight back. In one instance, a Grand Theft Auto Online NPC stole a player's helicopter from them right before another NPC stole it from the original thief. In a recent post, Reddit user Vexentiv shared an interesting encounter they had where an NPC attacked them and another came to their defense.
