Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the rumored title of the highly anticipated sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, is also rumored to feature multiple playable characters on top of keeping Cal Kestis as the main protagonist. With the Star Wars Jedi sequel possibly releasing in 2023, the game is set to continue the adventures of Kestis and the rest of the crew of the Stinger Mantis. The first game saw Cal team up with former Jedi Cere Junda and Nightsister Merrin, both of whom could make for fun playable characters if Respawn does take that route.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order featured a brand new cast of characters, bringing a brand new point of view to Order 66 in the Star Wars universe. The story followed Cal Kestis, a Padawan Jedi on the run from the Empire. Eventually, Cal is found by Inquisitors and embarks on an adventure with former Jedi master, Cere, a Nightsister of Dathomir named Merrin, and Greez Dritus, the pilot of the Stinger Mantis. The story ends with a legendary stand-off with Darth Vader, in which the player must run away or perish at the hands of the iconic villain.

Fallen Order is more important to Star Wars canonnow than it was at launch, with Cal Kestis being referenced in the recently released Star Wars: Brotherhood novel and elements of the game — including the Fortress Inquisitorius — set to feature in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series on Disney+.
