The Fifth Brother makes his live-action debut inObi-Wan Kenobi episode 1, but who is this dark side character? Releasing weekly on Disney+, Obi-Wan Kenobi is the newest live-action Star Wars show to premiere on the streaming service. Like The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, the series further explores the stories and characters of a galaxy far, far away on the small screen. Obi-Wan Kenobi catches up with the titular Jedi five years after Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith, finding him in hiding on Tatooine where he watches over a young Luke Skywalker from afar.
During this time, the Empire employs several dark side Force users called Inquisitors to hunt down the Jedi who survived Order 66. The Inquisitors aren't Sith or new apprentices of the Emperor, but they are a real threat to anyone suspected of either being or helping a Jedi. In Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 1, the Grand Inquisitor is joined by the Fifth Brother and the Third Sister on Tatooine as they search for a suspected Jedi named Nari. Previously, the Grand Inquisitor and the Fifth Brother appeared in the animated show Star Wars Rebels, butObi-Wan Kenobi marks both characters' first appearances in live-action.

For his live-action debut, the Fifth Brother looks more or less like his character does in animation, but like the Grand Inquistor, his live-action design is now more humanoid to better accommodate the actor. Otherwise, the Fifth Brother as depicted in Obi-Wan Kenobi appears to be largely the same character as seen in previous Star Wars media.
