Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, officially named Fortnite Mega, will start this week, meaning there are only a few more days for you to explore the island as you know it. From various leaks as well as some official new reveals from Epic, we now know quite a bit about when the new season of Fortnite starts, right down to the day of the week. Phrasing in the game says this season will end on March 8, which means the actual last day should be March 9. The stated end date for a season is usually the last full day for every region, meaning no matter where you are, Fortnite should remain online for the full 24 hours of March 8. Most regions will also have most of March 9 to play as well, but it's not the end date because not every region will have the full 24 hours of that day.
All that means Fortnite will go offline for Chapter 4 Season 2 downtime at 2 AM ET on the morning of March 10--that's 11 PM PT on March 9. Fortnite will be offline for several hours, and then Chapter 4 Season 2 will start on the morning of March 10.
On Wednesday, leaks began flowing freely, with notable Fortnite leakers like Shiina tweeting that Chapter 4 Season 2 will be themed on futuristic Japan and feature Eren Yeager from the anime series Attack on Titan as the battle pass bonus skin. On top of that, rumor is we'll get a new Attack on Titan-themed «waist grappler» mythic mobility device that will work similarly to the Spider-Man hands or Grappler.
