More than 30 smartphones will be barred by WhatsApp from this January 2022, Sproutwired report suggested. Considering that these companies sold millions of these phones, this drastic step by WhatsApp means millions of users will be affected.
According to the report, WhatsApp will stop working on many phones in Brazil, which has more than 100 million users. However, whether this also applies to any other part of the world, including India, is uncertain. Many of these smartphones on the WhatsApp list are being used in India too.
