WhatsApp is quite a dynamic platform that keeps introducing new features to make this instant messaging app user-friendly. A few days back, WhatsApp added an entry point to create polls within the WhatsApp chats, which will be handy when you want to reach a consensus about a certain topic in a group chat. Now, WhatsApp is all set to roll out a new feature in an update to some users on the Microsoft Store. This new update will allow WhatsApp users to finally share contact cards within the same chat share sheet, the WhatsApp updates tracker WabetaInfo reported in a blog.
What will the Contact card do? With the arrival of this feature, users will be able to easily add the contact to their address book. WabetaInfo shared a glimpse of the feature which shows that the entry point “Contacts” will show up if the feature is already enabled for your WhatsApp account or not. If the feature is enabled, then you will be able to share the information of a contact in the form of a contact card. Moreover, just like the chats, the feature is end-to-end encrypted, which means only a person or people available in the group will be able to read and reply to the shared contact card.
The report further informed that the ability to share contact cards has been released to only a few beta users right now. So, you will need to install WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2247.2.0 update available on the Microsoft Store. Over the coming days, it will be rolled out to more beta testers.
