Realme GT Neo 5 could end up having the fastest charging system on any smartphone next year. Based on a new leak, it is said that Realme could debut a 240W wired fast charging solution on its next GT series smartphone, the Realme GT Neo 5. The phone will be a successor to the Realme GT Neo from this year, and will boast the fastest charging solution. Most of the flagship competition will be using 200W charging at the most.
The leak comes from noted tipster Digital Chat Station, who confirms that the Realme GT Neo 5 will have a 240W charging solution charging up its 4600mAh battery. Realme will also have a slower 150W wired charging for a more affordable variant with a bigger 5000mAh battery. The 150W solution is currently the fastest option on the Realme GT Neo 3 series.
Other than the battery capacity and the charging speed, Realme GT Neo 5 will also get a new Sony IMX890 image sensor for its main rear camera. The camera system will also employ an OIS system.
What remains to be seen is the rest of the feature set for the Realme GT Neo 5. The Realme GT Neo 3 from this year uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip, a 120W refresh rate OLED display, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and up to 150W charging solution. Note that the Realme GT 2 Pro is currently the company's flagship model, having the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and a unique paper-like design.
