FX announces the official release date for What We Do in the Shadows season 4. Based on the 2014 mockumentary film by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, the comedy series focuses on the domestic lives of four house-sharing vampires living in Staten Island, New York. Consistently well-received by critics and audiences alike, the Emmy-nominated series debuted its third season in September 2021 following delays caused by COVID-19.
Now, FX has revealed the official release date for What We Do in the Shadows season 4 as part of the network's summer slate. Announcing that the fan-favorite mockumentary will receive a two-episode premiere on July 12, the network also shared the release dates of seven other titles, including Reservation Dogs and Welcome to Wrexham, as well as the next installment of American Horror Stories, which is also scheduled to debut in July.

Though no longer a writer for the series, Clement revealed to fans back in February that production on the fourth season had concluded. Ending on something of a cliffhanger, season 3 saw the show’s main cast separated after Nandor (Kayvan Novak) departed to travel the world and Guillermo (Harvey Guillen), barricaded inside a coffin, was forced to travel to London with Nadja (Natasia Demetriou). Meanwhile, Laszlo (Matt Berry) opted to stay behind in Staten Island in order to care for a newly reborn Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch). Picking up sometime later, season 4 of What We Do in the Shadows will find the unlikely family reunited and their home “on the verge of collapse” as Nandor continues his pursuit of love and Nadja decides to open a vampire nightclub.
