Warning! SPOILERS for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Finally, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is hitting the small screen — and here is what time it releases on Disney+. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness follows the story set up by WandaVision while also exploring the concept of the multiverse introduced by Loki and addressed again in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The Sam Raimi-directed superhero film has grossed more than $943 million worldwide so far, making it the highest-grossing movie of 2022 as of writing. Doctor Strange 2 premiered on May 6, 2022, as the 28th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it is now set to arrive on Disney+.
Despite the anticipation, especially with Doctor Strange 2’s cast, story, and villain, the film has garnered mixed reviews. However, as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness focused on a multiverse-transcending adventure, some of its characters became underdeveloped and its cameos ended up being fan service. Regardless, the film still performed well at the box office, and fortunately, those who were not able to catch it in theaters or those who simply wanted to rewatch it can do so via streaming.
