What Do The New Medallions Do In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4?
In, players can obtain three different Medallions, all of which have unique gameplay effects. Unlike the other weapons and utility items players can find on the island, Medallions are unique. Only one of each drops per match and each grants the holder powerful passive abilities. However, holding a Medallion can also prove risky.
To get a Medallion, players either need to defeat one of NPC Bosses, or steal it by eliminating a player carrying a Medallion. There are a total of three Medallions: Emma Frost's Reveal Medallion, Mysterio's Stealth Medallion, and Doombot's Siphon Medallion. Collecting gear from Dr. Doom and Avengers chests is highly recommended, as these special chests often drop high-quality gear.
Players should take advantage of new seasonal items such as War Machine's Arsenal and old favorites such as Captain America's Shield when fighting bosses and other players. Seasonal items in tend to be meta-defining and often have high damage outputs and other useful qualities.
