The War Within introduces interesting new mechanics to both Crafting and Gathering Professions. While players expect Profession updates each time a new expansion launches, The War Within is bringing an unusual number of changes that can alter how the flow of a Profession works, or make the Crafting or Gathering process more difficult than it has been in the past.

The War Within Inscription Guide Profession Overview in The War Within
While the function and flow of Khaz Algar Inscription remain the same as in Dragonflight, The War Within brings a fascinating change to an iconic craft. Darkmoon Decks are incredibly popular and powerful trinkets, and they remain so in The War Within; the difference is that now, once you've moved past the introduction to the expansion and outgeared their item level effectiveness, you can carry their effects forward onto new gear with Embellishments.
While Weapon Embellishments are generally highly competitive gearing choices, there are now even more options to add to the mix. With SIgils such as Darkmoon Sigil: Radiance, players can now essentially turn their Weapon or Off-hand into a Darkmoon Deck, fully repeating the effect that the trinket itself would have.
Darkmoon Decks traditionally commanded high demand at the start of an expansion, and tapered off over time. This change means that it's possible these Decks will remain competitive the entire cycle of The War Within — particularly since the Darkmoon Cards required to craft them now drop from Fishing, Dungeons
