Westworld star Ed Harris says the latest season of the sci-fi dystopia series will be easier to follow than previous seasons. Westworld season 4 is set to premiere on June 26 on HBO and will run for eight episodes. Alongside Harris, the series stars Evan Rachel Wood, Thandiwe Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Aaron Paul, and James Marsden, who rejoins the cast after departing at the end of season 2.
Westworld season 4 takes place seven years after the end of season 3 and will continue to explore the fate of artificial sentient life on a dystopian Earth. The series will continue to move away from its Western-inspired roots and explore further questions about how the world views artificial intelligence and exploits it through entertainment. Westworld's tendency to rely on mystery and misdirect will continue to shape season 4's narrative as the show continues to world build and expand on the base mythology.
