The first footage from Max’s has been released.
Max released a new trailer promoting a handful of their upcoming original titles. Included in the trailer, which can be viewed below, is a brief look at Welcome to Derry, the upcoming It prequel series.

Officially greenlit in February 2023, Welcome to Derry is an upcoming horror series that serves as a prequel to 2017’s It and 2019’s It: Chapter Two, both of which were based on Stephen King’s It novel that was published in 1986.
Andy Muschietti, who directed both It and It: Chapter Two, is developing the series alongside Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs.
Not much is known about the plot of Welcome to Derry this time. The series will star Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, Taylour Paige, James Remar, Stephen Rider, and Madeleine Stowe.
Whether or not Bill Skarsgård will reprise his role as Pennywise in Welcome to Derry is unknown at this time. The actor told Bloody Disgusting in March 2023, “We’ll see what they come up with and what they do with it. I’m not currently involved in it. If someone else gets to [play Pennywise], my advice is to make it your own. Have fun with it. What I thought was so pleasurable about that character was how incredibly abstract he was. The book is really a gift that way.”
Welcome to Derry began filming in May 2023; however, production was delayed in July because of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) strike. With the SAG-AFTRA strike now over, the series is beginning to continue filming in
