A GTA Online player shared a clip of the game where an NPC goes absolutely wild, spinning in place like a ballerina or figure skater. Bugs are a fairly common thing to encounter in open world games like Grand Theft Auto Online, but it's still an amusing sight to see.
GTA Online launched nearly a decade ago, and to Rockstar Games' credit, it's ironed out a lot of the more pervasive bugs in the title. Of course, mix in a little lag and anything is possible, which looks like it may have been at play in this latest clip.
GTA Online Glitch Makes Player Spin Like Helicopter Rotor Blades in Freefall
GTA player and Reddit user Unlikely-Plastic-775 shared a video clip of their encounter with an enemy NPC that went humorously awry. After entering a room, the player notices the enemy in the corner, and the two take aim to fire at each other. However, something goes wrong, and the multiple shots fired by Unlikely-Plastic-775 don't seem to connect at all, and the NPC stands unmoving for a moment. That suddenly changes, though, when the NPC takes a single shot and then begins spinning around rapidly, firing off in all directions before dramatically beginning to collapse from being shot multiple times.
It's possible the player lagged or temporarily lost their connection to the server. The game likely didn't register the player's shots at first as a result, and when the gamer's connection stabilized, it likely tried to display all of the actions the NPC had taken at once. It's not clear if the physics involved of being shot multiple times is why the NPC spins while firing, or if it experienced some kind of targeting glitch due to the lag.
