Players have been diligently combing over the latest trailer for God of War Ragnarok, looking for any little secrets and details to clue them into what is in store for Kratos and Atreus, but one player's discovery shows how Thor may control his hammer, Mjolnir. Santa Monica Studio has been fairly quiet up to this point about their iteration on the Norse God of Thunder and his role in Kratos' latest journey, only showing what he will look like in-game and confirming Sons of Anarchy star Ryan Hurst will be playing him.
It appears, though, that this latest trailer let slip the unique manner Thor controls the weapon he will use against Kratos when the two clash on the road to Ragnarok. The detail was caught by Reddit user xyz_x, who posted the clip from the end of the God of War Ragnarok trailer which closed out PlayStation's September 2022 State of Play.

The Reddit user's clip focuses specifically on the end of the trailer where players get their first glimpse of Kratos and Thor locked in a one-on-one battle where both gods hurl their respective weapons at each other. It was here in the clip that xyz_x noticed that while Kratos recalls the Leviathan Axe as he did in 2018's God of War, Thor appears to snap his fingers to recall Mjolnir before trying to attack Kratos.
