The addition of bots to matches of Resurgence on the map Ashika Island has left many Call of Duty: Warzone 2 players puzzled, some even calling for the developer behind the game, Infinity Ward, to reconsider the necessity of this particular feature. Infinity Ward has not yet responded to these criticisms on the part of players.
Players were at first eager to experience the brand new, faster paced gameplay offered by this first Resurgence map, Ashika Island. The addition of these bots, on the other hand, has clearly made the experience a lot more chaotic than expected, resulting in many players avoiding the map altogether.

Players have naturally been taking their complaints to social media, creating a series of threads on Reddit to voice their concerns, many questioning the logic behind the addition of bots to an already fast paced game mode like Resurgence. The most upvoted of these was first posted earlier this week by someone going by the name of TapInBogey who began by “genuinely, truly, earnestly, asking for an explanation for the logic of adding bots to Ashika Island. Why?”
“There are so many ‘nobody asked for this’ things the developers have done, but this one especially blows my mind,” TapInBogey said on the social media platform. “Rebirth is fast paced with tons of third party attacks and it’s hard to sometimes keep your wits because of the bullets flying everywhere. And then you add bots stomping around, shooting at you, distracting you, giving away your position. Again, I have been baffled by a lot of choices, but this one is really one that makes me think the developers don’t even play the game.”
