While Venom once held a hateful place in his heart for the original Spider-Man of Earth-616, he reveals a version of the Wall-crawler he would hate above all others. When Venom was first formed, he hated Spider-Man as Peter Parker wronged both lifeforms that make up Venom, Eddie Brock and the symbiote. While Venom eventually lets go of his hatred for Spider-Man, there was a time when it was all he could think about. That is, until his attention was drawn towards something he despised with equal passion, something one particular Spider-Man variant perfectly encapsulates.
In Venom: Lethal Protector #1 by David Michelinie and Ivan Fiorelli, Venom is facing off against a team of pretty pathetic villains consisting of Jagged Bow, Death-Shield, and Blood Spider. After he makes quick work of the sad villainous group, Venom goes to the park to stop any potential crimes being committed. As it turned out, a crime was being committed below the tree from which Venom was patrolling.

A guy in heavy punk rock attire was mugging an old woman until Venom jumped down from his tree to stop him. Venom tells the punker, “Your fashion sense is simply appalling” and then proceeds to throw him into the trunk of a tree and web him up for the authorities. The fact that Venom commented on the punker’s look at all says that he hates that style, so one could only imagine how much he would hate Spider-Man if he were a punker. Well as it so happens, there is a version of Spider-Man who fits that profile, a variant known as Spider-Punk. If Venom at this point in time, one who still really hates Spider-Man
