Characters in Vampire Survivors are purchased with Gold from the character select screen after the prerequisites are fulfilled. The amount of Gold that is needed to unlock characters varies as players progress through the game, and specific values have thus not been listed below.

The reasoning for this is that evolving a weapon once does not put its evolution into the pool of items that players will select from when leveling up.
