Warning! Spoilers ahead for DC vs Vampires #4
In the latest issue of DC vs Vampires, one of the Flash's villains has been turned into the most ridiculous vampire during the undead revolution plaguing the DC Universe. While the vampire armies began their campaign by converting several supervillains, heroes are now being turned to their ranks as well such as Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Zatanna, and more being bitten and turned into key leaders of the vampire hordes. However, there are very few converted heroes or villains that can compare to the bizarre existence that is a vampiric Gorilla Grodd.
In previous issues of DC vs Vampires from James Tynion IV, Matthew Rosenberg, and Otto Schmidt, it was revealed that Mary Queen of Blood was murdered, the only vampire elder who had been maintaining peace between vampire-kind and humanity. In the wake of her death, the new and mysterious Vampire King has risen to lead a revolution against the entire globe, converting the strong to their cause and preying upon the weak, drinking their blood to satiate their dark thirst. While they began with supervillains such as the Legion of Doom, they've also managed to convert Hal Jordan's Green Lantern who began converting his fellow Justice Leaguers. However, Hal had no choice but to kill the Flash whose powers as a speedster would have seen him drinking the world dry within a matter of moments if he were to be turned.
