Henry Cavill,star ofThe Witcher, visited Games Workshop's Warhammer 40kheadquarters in the United Kingdom this past weekend. It seemed like a trip of a lifetime for Cavill, as it's well-documented that the actor and glorified nerd is a huge fan of the classic table-top RPG.
According to posts from employees, Cavill visited this past Friday, February 18th, and was extremely happy to be there. Fans can find photos from employees posted on Twitter and Instagram, each thanking him for his visit and providing visuals of him geeking out in the Warhammer 40k atmosphere.

It is no secret that the actor is a fan of nerd culture. In 2020, Cavill actively showed the world his geekdom in a video where he built a PC from scratch. Cavill often talks about how Warhammer 40k has been a lifelong hobby and posted a photo of him painting a helmet from the game on Instagram. He's even kindly corrected a talk-show host who accidentally referred to the tabletop World of Warcraft when talking about the game. During Cavill's press tour forThe Witcher, he spent much time promoting Warhammer 40k and even teased being a part of a future adaptation.
Warhammer 40k is a tabletop wargame released back in 1987, and its popularity has grown tremendously over the years. It is the most popular miniature game, particularly famous in the United Kingdom, and rivals its story-telling counterpart Dungeons and Dragons.
