Star of the Netflix television show The Witcher, Henry Cavill, got to itch the scratch of one of his biggest fandoms when he visited the Warhammer headquarters in the United Kingdom. Cavill has been an outspoken fan of Warhammer in the past and has been well-known to be a fan of many other gaming franchises including The Witcher. As a result, it's not surprising to see Cavill enjoying himself at the hub of all things Warhammer.
Warhammer 40,000 is an incredibly popular tabletop miniature wargame, where players use painted models to create battles. Warhammer 40,000 is set against a backdrop of rich lore, which is what has attracted so many fans. The sci-fi, 42nd Millenium setting that also blends certain elements from fantasy (including demons, magic, and other supernatural beings) allows for the creation of some unique models and characters. Players get to play as one of several factions, each with its own histories and unique combat units. Warhammer 40,000 spawned out of the earlier miniature games Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Warhammer Fantasy, which were more focused on traditional fantasy elements. Although those games have fallen out of popularity since the advent of Warhammer 40,000, many older fans still recall those series fondly and the great work of British manufacturer Games Workshop. And Henry Cavill appears to be one such fan.

According to a report by PC Gamer, Henry Cavill made a surprise appearance at the Games Workshop "Warhammer World" hobnobbing with fans and employees alike.
