Leak Suggests Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti Could Be as Much As $4,000
Despite the ongoing tech shortages in which consumers are struggling to get hold of any new gaming hardware, it seems that Nvidia and AMD are still plodding on. With team red recently announcing the RDNA 3 and Intel getting ready to unleash its own brand of Arc GPUs, Jensen Huang and co. are looking to keep themselves in the game as competition becomes ever fiercer. However, before the next generation lands, team green is due to launch its most powerful card to date, but it looks as though it will set gamers and PC enthusiasts back a lot of money.
According to a tweet from known leaker momomo_us, the Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti, a souped-up version of its 3090 predecessor, will cost thousands upon release. A screenshot attached to the tweet shows that an unknown Canadian retailer may be selling the upcoming GPU for as much as $4,649 CAD, or roughly $3,687 US for the Asus TUF model. It also shows that for the Asus ROG version, customers could be looking to pay $5,239 CAD, or around $4,155 US.

While modern graphics cards can set people back a large sum of money as it is, this amount is likely to put some people off. The Nvidia RTX 3090 is priced at $1,500, which means the Ti iteration could be almost two and a half times more, and while it's more powerful than the previous model, it will take a lot of convincing on the tech giant and its retailer's part to convince potential buyers that it's worth the money.
