Not only is the villain in question a brutal foe against his enemies, but he is completely ruthless when it comes to the self-mutilating augmentation of his own body. In his final form, this TMNTvillain shares some key intimidating attributes with Shredder, but with additional weaponry that puts the Foot Clan leader to shame.
In Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesVol. 2 #2 by Jim Lawson, it is revealed that the mad scientist who was imprisoned in the previous volume, Baxter Stockman, has escaped from prison and infiltrated a top-secret government laboratory. Using the technology he stole from the lab, Stockman removed his brain and placed it in a robotic body that proved to be a more than formidable form when he subsequently launched his attack on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Like Shredder, Stockman’s robot body wields claws on one of his cyborg hands, however, that is where their similarities end as Stockman proved to be much more deadly. Along with the claws, the cyborg scientist also has rocket-powered projectile weaponry, dangerously high intelligence, and near invulnerability. Plus, Stockman’s robot body has the power to regenerate lost limbs so any damage he takes while fighting the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will heal without causing any permanent malfunctions. While Stockman proved to be more physically imposing than Shredder, he also showed that he is a more effective fighter when he literally succeeded where Shredder failed.
