Silver Exposure, also referred to as «Silver Sickness» in V Rising, is a negative status effect that damages a Vampire's HP every several seconds. This effect occurs whenever a bloodthirsty adventurer comes into contact with or carries Silver metal in their inventory. Resources of this metal include Silver Ore or Silver Coins. While the harmful effect of Silver Sickness is negligible when holding only several Silver Coins in V Rising or ore, the exposure can be fatal for a Vampire over time, especially when possessing increased amounts of the metal.
Silver Ore is required to craft Dark Silver Ingots, a material used for making powerful end-game gear, and Silver Coins are necessary for trading with NPC Merchants in Vardoran. In other words, Silver is a resource that V Rising players must interact with sooner or later during their playthrough. While it is possible to travel with a haul of Silver and frequently drop it to heal before moving on, this traversal method is cumbersome and will take excessive stretches of time. Moreover, such a technique will leave a player vulnerable to attacks on PvP servers.

Accordingly, Vampires of V Rising will need to find a way to transport their Silver safely across Vardoran. Fortunately, the world offers three methods to remove Silver Sickness by granting players immunity via Silver Resistance. Moreover, these techniques can be used in tandem with one another, meaning that players do not need to pick and choose between cures for Silver Exposure.
The first method to remove Silver Exposure is by transforming into a Bear, a creature form that boosts damage negation by 25% and increases all Resistances by 25, including Silver.
