Paper is a Knowledge resource in V Rising used primarily for researching new technology within one's Castle Library. More specifically, Paper ×50 is needed to Discover a new Recipe or Blueprint at the Research Desk. To craft Paper for this endeavor, Vampires will need to build a device known as the Paper Press, a machine that creates a Sheet of Paper with Sawdust and Plant Fibers in V Rising. However, the Paper Press is only unlocked randomly through researching at the Study — a workstation that needs Paper to be constructed.
Similar to Whetstone, making Paper in V Rising is a somewhat paradoxical process, requiring players to «get Paper to craft Paper.» However, the procedure is not too complicated, as long as Vampire adventurers understand what they need to do and where they should go. To get started, players must defeat Nicholaus the Fallen, a Level 37 V Blood Boss located in the Forgotten Cemetery of Farbane Woods. Slaying this Boss will reward bloodsucking pilgrims with two Vampire Powers and the Structure Blueprint for the Study.

Each outpost has Paper on its Important Loot list, meaning there's a solid chance that players will receive the Knowledge material by raiding the landmark.
Once V Rising players have set up their Study, they must next procure Scrolls, the refined form of Paper from any Militia Camps or Encampments in Dunley Farmlands. Similar to the Bandit Camps of Farbane Woods, clearing
