From the very beginning of a player's journey in V Rising, the Soul Shards are visible from the map. They call out to the players through the fog, daring adventurers to come and grab them. Unfortunately for curious gamers, tracking them down is much tougher than acquiring them.

The nature of the Soul Shards will vary from server to server. After defeating the other V Blood bosses and gearing up, it will come time to gather them up. The reward V Rising gives to vampires who snatch up these pieces is immense when the players understand how to use them properly.
By default, the Soul Shards are held by the final three V Blood bosses in the game. Players will need the best weapons and armor to take on these foes, so gear appropriately. They will each drop a Soul Shard so long as they have not been killed before.
Some servers don't allow travel when in possession of a Soul Shard, so have a convenient base location nearby.

If these bosses have been killed before, their locations depend on the server settings. On some servers, the Soul Shards can be gathered again. On others, the only way to get them is by taking them from the castles of the players who stole them in PvP.
If the Soul Shards have not yet been gathered, which will certainly be the case for those who make a private server and either play by themselves or with friends who raid together, they will always be in the same locations on the map.
