More PlayStation classics have received a new-generation upgrade thanks to the launch of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, and early PS5 reviews for the game are promising. Announced by PlayStation in 2021, many were disappointed to hear the relatively-new games would be getting enhanced, while others were excited to once again delve into a classic PlayStation franchise on the latest hardware. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves comes to PC at an unspecified point this year, but the game launches on PS5 on January 28.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection includes both 2016's Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and 2017's standalone spin-off, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. The collection features a range of enhancements for the games, including improved graphics, Fidelity and Performance modes, faster load times, and haptic feedback through the DualSense controller. Those who already own Uncharted 4, The Lost Legacy, or the Digital Bundle containing both games, can upgrade to the Legacy of Thieves Collection for $10, though the new release is also available for separate purchase. It's been confirmed that Uncharted save data and Trophies can transfer to PS5.

Receiving high scores across the board, the collection has been praised for its smooth framerate, impressive visuals — and for those unfamiliar with the games — immersive stories. At the time of writing, the new release has earned a Metacritic critics' score of 87, sitting part-way between Uncharted 4's original score of 93, and Lost Legacy's original 84.
