While Netflix prepares for the arrival of the third season of The Umbrella Academy, a batch of character posters reveals a big change from the comics regarding an important location in this new season. The rise of the superhero genre in film and TV has made way for darker and lesser-known stories to be adapted to other media, and among those is The Umbrella Academy. The Umbrella Academy follows the Hargreeves, seven adopted siblings with superpowers and a mysterious origin that they are still trying to decipher. The Umbrella Academy season 1 saw the Hargreeves joining forces again to prevent the end of the world after being apart for years, but they were unable to stop the apocalypse and their only solution was traveling back in time to a safer place. Season 2 reunited viewers with the team in Dallas, Texas, in the 1960s, where they learned that they are not the only ones from the 43 babies born on the same day and under the same mysterious circumstances to have superpowers. Now, although plot details for The Umbrella Academy season 3 remain a mystery, there are hints of where it will take the Hargreeves, and one of the most important new settings will be Hotel Oblivion.
