There are few people on Twitch that get the kind of views Kaitlyn «Amouranth» Siragusa gets, though that's not always a good thing. The streamer gets plenty of good attention as well as bad attention from her viewers and Twitch itself to the point that some believe she might be getting banned on purpose in order to make headlines.
While Amouranth is one of the most popular personalities on the platform among a certain group of viewers, she's run afoul of Twitch's streaming policies quite a few times. Various violations have led to several Twitch bans over the last few years. In fact, there have been times when she's gotten banned shortly after having her punishment lifted. For her part, she often claims that she has no idea why she's getting flagged for violating rules. Nor does she know what rules she could have possibly run afoul of, but others believe the whole thing is an act, and she wants the negative attention in order to help grow her brand.
Amouranth Says 'Haters' Are Why She Will Never Burnout
In a new interview with TheGamer, Siragusa made it very clear that she is trying to grow her market beyond just being known as a Twitch streamer. However, she also wanted it known that she's not working to do that by intentionally breaking the rules of the website that helped her become so famous in the first place.
Amouranth talked about how Twitch has been notoriously oblique about why it hands out bans in the past. “No one really plans it. Each ban is immensely stressful, and I never know if it'll be my last,” she told the publication. She added that she understands that her desire to get punished as a way to draw more attention to herself is a «fun narrative» that certain people like to push, but it's simply not the case.
