There's been a controversy on Twitch lately over the use of the word «cracker» and whether or not it should be considered a racial slur. Various high profile Twitch streamers have been banned for using the word these past few months, and now popular Irish streamer JustaMinx can be added to the list.
JustaMinx was banned from Twitch on February 7 for saying a «derogatory slur» that was determined to be the word «cracker.» JustaMinx uploaded a YouTube video addressing the ban, explaining that she was in the middle of a workout and brainstorming content creation ideas when she found out about it. JustaMinx's Twitch ban will last seven days, so she should be able to resume streaming this coming Valentine's Day, February 14.

In the YouTube video where she explained her Twitch ban, JustaMinx pointed out that she lives in a content house with other streamers and will have to avoid appearing in their streams. Due to Twitch's ban rules, if JustaMinx were to appear in her housemates' streams, they could also be banned. JustaMinx recently moved into the Envy content house in California with fellow content creators CodeMiko and Andrea and Alexandra Botez.
This isn't the first time that JustaMinx has been banned from Twitch. In the video, JustaMinx pointed out that her last Twitch ban occurred around Christmas, and now this latest one is happening around Valentine's Day. Besides the holidays making the latest Twitch ban poor timing, JustaMinx also said that she was «off [her] meds» because American pharmacies won't accept her Irish prescription, so it seems she's had a string of bad luck as of late.
