A new batch of Top Gun: Maverick character posters introduces the many pilots and their call signs from the sequel. Top Gun: Maverick once again stars Tom Cruise as Pete «Maverick» Mitchell, a celebrated fighter pilot who returns to the Top Gun flight school to train the next generation of pilots. The long-awaited sequel is directed by Joseph Kosinski (Tron: Legacy, Oblivion) and written by Christopher McQuarrie (Mission: Impossible — Fallout), Ehren Kruger (The Ring), and Eric Warren Singer (Only The Brave) from a story by Justin Marks (The Jungle Book) and Peter Craig (The Batman).
Top Gun: Maverick sports an immense cast, including veteran actors Cruise, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Connelly, Val Kilmer, Ed Harris, and Charles Parnell, as well as a fresh crop of rising stars. Miles Teller leads the next generation, including Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Monica Barbaro, Jay Ellis, Danny Ramirez, and Greg Tarzan Davis. Top Gun: Maverick recently screened at CinemaCon, garnering rave reactions and word of mouth that puts the sequel on the approach for a solid box office landing.
