Tom Holland has shared new details on his pitch for a James Bond movie, one that was ultimately rejected, but led to him being cast as Nathan Drake in the Uncharted movie due out this month.
Holland told the LA Times that his pitch to Sony Pictures Chairman Tom Rothman was «really good,» but it didn't have many other supporters inside Sony. His idea was for a James Bond origin story that isn't revealed to be a James Bond film until the very end.

«He was supposed to just be a kid who was graduating into the SAS and goes on a mission, which is obviously exciting and adventurous. If the film didn't reveal itself to be a James Bond movie until the very end, that might have posed some issues with marketing, Holland said.
Holland previously said his pitch for a James Bond origin story made its way to the producers of the Bond series, but it didn't go further. «I don't think the Bond estate were particularly interested,» he said.
