Tom Holland celebrates the release of Uncharted with an adorable photoshoot that sees the actor befriending a puppy. Since joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, Holland has become one of the biggest box office draws in Hollywood. Coming off the heels of his role in the hugely successful Spider-Man: No Way Home, both Holland and Sony are looking to break the box office once again with Ruben Fleischer’s Uncharted.
Naughty Dog’s Uncharted video game franchise began with the release of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune on PlayStation 3 in 2007. That game introduces the wise-cracking Nathan Drake, a treasure hunter who travels the world embarking on perilous adventures and uncovering various historical mysteries ala Indiana Jones. Last month, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection was released, which includes remastered versions of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Due to the cinematic nature of the games, and their enduringlegacy,a movie adaptation has been in the works since as early as 2008 with numerous creatives attached. For a while, Mark Wahlberg was attached to play the lead while fans have lobbied for Nathan Fillion, especially after his performance in a 2018 Uncharted fan film. Nevertheless, the ever-charismatic Holland was cast as Drake in 2017 and, following several delays, finally made his debut as the iconic character on February 18th.

As Uncharted opens in theaters, Holland took to Instagram to celebrate the film’s premiere. If there’s any surefire way to promote a film, it’s with cute dogs, and Holland took full advantage of that fact, posing with an adorable puppy to sell the movie. Check
