Actor Mark Wahlberg was quite allergic to his character Sully's cat in the new Uncharted film. Uncharted is based on a video game of the same name from 2007, developed by Naughty Dog, who also developedThe Last of Us, and released on PlayStation by Sony Interactive Entertainment. There have been three more installments of the main Uncharted game series, with the most recent releasing in 2017, as well as four offshoots and two remastered collections. Many credit the Uncharted games as being crucial to the success of the PlayStation system.
The film adaption of Uncharted follows the street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and his partner Victor «Sully» Sullivan as they search for a great treasure and find clues about Drake's long-lost brother. The film also starsAntonio Banderas as Santiago Moncada, Grey's Anatomy's Sophia Ali as Chloe Frazer, and Chilling Adventure's of Sabrina star Tati Gabrielle as Braddock. Uncharted has been met with disappointing reviews from critics prior to its official release, though fans who have managed to catch an early screening have seemed to enjoy it overall.

In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Uncharted director Ruben Fleischer (Venom, Zombieland) revealed that Wahlberg was actually allergic to his furry co-star. The long-haired feline, named Mr. Whiskers, is shown being carried by Wahlberg in a backpack in an ad released by Sony Pictures Canada on Youtube.
