Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is getting a DLC expansion later this year.
The DLC, which will be titled Dimension Shellshock, adds a number of new features, including a new gameplay mode and new playable fighters.
The only new character announed so far is Usagi Yojimbo, the samurai rabbit who’s something of a cult favourite among TMNT fans of a certain vintage.
The character initially appeared in a comic book series which started in 1984, and crossed over to the TMNT in 1989 when he appeared on the animated series.
Yojimbo would eventually become a recuring character in various TMNT media over the decades.

Publisher Dotemu has yet to confirm a price or release date for the DLC, beyond simply “later this year”.
TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge was released in June 2022 to critical acclaim, gaining Metacritic scores between 85 and 87 (depending on format).
