Vicki Gunvalson from The Real Housewives of Orange County loves to "whoop it up," but there were moments when Vicki had a little too much fun and got sick or injured. The 60-year-old had appeared on the show for 14 seasons but started to lose steam towards the end of her time on Bravo. The other RHOC cast members hilariously named Vicki's medical issues "A Case of the Vickis," and it has become a running joke to long-time viewers of the series.
Since Vicki is the «OG of the OC» and one of the oldest stars in the Real Housewives franchise, she expects to be looked after by her castmates. When the RHOC ladies go on their annual vacations, Vicki is a liability and always seems to get hurt or develop some type of illness. The reality TV veteran loves attention, and many fans feel that she acts clumsy and makes herself sick to create drama so people feel sorry for her. Vicki's a sensitive person and wants everyone to make her a casserole to show that they feel sympathetic about her continuous health scares.

On The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip season 2, Vicki wasn't acting like her normal self at Blue Stone Manor. She had just broken up with her ex-fiance, Steve Lodge, and was recovering from COVID-19. Vicki felt congested and tired and was taken to Urgent Care by the production team's medic. Luckily, it was only a sinus infection, and Vicki was given medication to boost her energy back up. In past seasons of RHOC, fans have watchedVicki's numerous visits to the hospital on girl's trips when she was sick or injured.
