Warning! Spoilers forThor #24 by Marvel Comics
Odin might be dead in the Marvel Universe, but the former All-Father still haunts his son, Thor, as his soul lives on through his hammer, Mjolnir. In Thor #24 by Marvel Comics, the God of Thunder learns that Odin could not pass through Valhalla, as something destroyed the gate to the realm. Odin's soul instead went inside Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, which leads the King of Asgard to express frustration at his father continuing to haunt him after death. Thor Odinson doesn't exactly want the new power.
In the current Thor ongoing series from Marvel Comics, the God of Thunder arc left the Ten Realms in shambles. The living embodiment of Mjolnir (fused with Mangog) leveled the Ten Realms before Odin sacrificed himself to give Thor the Odin-Force needed to defeat the corrupted hammer. In the aftermath of the battle, Angela presented Thor with a reforged version of Mjolnir after it was destroyed. However, it came back with an all-new power, as Odin's voice spoke to the hero through his iconic weapon.
